Porters advice needed for new PC players!
Hi everyone! Ant here from 505 Games. I’m currently working on a little DEATH STRANDING blog for our PC community that revolves around what it takes to make a successful delivery in-game and I'm looking for existing Porters to contribute!

Interested in taking part? If so, we're looking for a series of short paragraphs from players that features a piece of advice to new PC Porters, on how to improve / maintain that important Delivery Score.

Think about ways you can protect / maintain package condition, delivering packages faster and general tips you can offer others on improving that overall score.

We’ll feature our favourites as part of our next blog.

Look forward to reading through your responses :)

Keep on keeping on!

Remember to give the Mules a good kicking to KO them. I didn't realise that till a hundred hours in on the PS4. That led for very intense in and out raids until that point.
Don't feel pressured to do deliveries immediately, or too early in the story arc. Some larger loads or trickier-to-reach locales will benefit from infrastructure (roads / ziplines) or late-game equipment unlocks being in place.
interested but I speak very poor English :steamsad:
From my experience, and if not entirely obvious, the shortest path between two points (beginning and destination) is usually not the most efficient, safe, and enjoyable way to go.

In other words, don't just follow the path of least resistance, or the established path 'most' players have chosen according to the game prompts, you will be missing out by not forging your own path. That is the spirit of individuality that produced so much innovation in western science and industry.
USE YOUR MATERIALS!!!

Dont just let them sit in your cities or centers, that wont do you any good. Use them to build structures, roads, vehicles and everything that will help you get your packages from A to B.
That's what they are there for and you'll always get more.

Experimenting with the backpack is a great way to lessen your cargo load - particularly weaponry. Utilizing the big ammo pouch, grenade pouch and utility pouch will result in less cargo load. Additionally, you only need to carry one weapon because of the substantial increase in ammo capacity.
To improve your delivery score, don't get hung up on returning lost cargo. Combined deliveries result in better score and many of the combinations are designed to fit either your backpack/skeleton or your vehicle almost exactly with little or no room for lost cargo. If you've got too much lost cargo, those combined deliveries just won't fit and you'll need to make 2 trips.

When about to set off for a journey, always check if there is other lost cargo that belongs to other players. If you're going to make a trek from A --> B, you may as well take some other player's cargo along too! This will net some extra likes, along with helping out other porters (especially newer porters) who have lost their cargo along the way.
Pretty much a n00b but my 5 cents,

Use the map, especially the tilt function, to get an idea of the topography you will be traversing across. Most often you will not want to go directly from A to B. Have a look at what other porters are doing and use their tracks to help you plan your own route if you're a bit stuck.

When you have both triggers pulled in, Sam is very well balanced and is capable of some quite surprising feats of dexterity. When you're in the open world just tooling around, experiment with what he can and cannot traverse. Again, this really helps with planning fast routes.

Make sure you take some helpful equipment with you. Not just ladders and climbing rope, but having some repair spray can make the difference between an S tier and an A tier delivery. Always have a spare pair of boots at 100%.

Lastly, when you have the opportunity to go fast, use it. Shave some time off when you can by sprinting in a safe area. Be single minded about getting the delivery done. There will always be random deliveries out there for you, so don't get side tracked.

The game is great. Give it a shot.
Hold both hand into balance mode then attack to tackle MULE, a success tackle will leave them vulnerable for restraining or ass whopping, you can also hit multiple enemies with one tackle
